Summer Family Reunion Lodging Question

My large family is thinking of planning a June family reunion to celebrate our parent's 60 wedding anniversary. We will need lodging for 6 families total of 26 people, including children and adults. We are more interested in homes than condos but want the homes in close proximity to to each other and activities. Any ideas for lodging?

Might not be quite what you are looking for, but check out Marriott's Summit Watch on Main Street in Park City. It's condo but location is good for town and getting around. We just stayed in a unit in the Alpine building and couldn't have asked for a nicer place.

Check out lodge at Stillwater. Also condos but very close to Jordanelle reservoir! Beautiful views to mountain and reservoir.

Getting sufficient nearby homes might be a challenge but who knows. Given the size and scope of condos in Park City, you will likely find that a more practical way to go. Marriott Summit Watch on Main Street is a great idea as it gives everyone easy walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, etc. plus one block to the transit center. It would alleviate many of the challenges of large group management. You'll also have a front row seat for Park Silly Sunday Market on Sunday.

Another option is to call Deer Valley Lodging, which may also be able to help you with houses. There are some really large condo units in DV. Pinnacle is a good example, right on Deer Valley Drive within walking distance of town.

Another wild card option is Newpark at Kimball Junction. Look at condo options in Newpark and adjoining Fox Point. It's a ways out of downtown but tons to do there in the entertainment/shopping complex.

Regarding Stillwater, nice place but 15-20 minutes from anything - shopping, restaurants, etc.

Good luck.

Here are two homes that sleep 30

Homes that sleep 15+ are very common, so finding 2 or 3 near each other is possible

Use "map view" to see areas

use "more filters" to change sleeping #s to above 13+

Congrats on the parents anniversary. That is amazing and should be a great time.

I might look into getting a group or event rate at one of the hotels. If it's early June there may even still be "shoulder season" discounts before summer kicks into gear. Main Street PC will have ample amenities with walking distance. If you go to Deer Valley or The Canyons you will be more in the mountains and have the base for food and activities like mountain biking, paddle boat rides, fishing, gondola rides, etc. I would definitely check out the Alpine Slide and Coaster and Utah Olympic Park. Maybe a drive into Big Cottonwood Canyon and stroll around Silver Lake. Here is a good resource with an event calendar to check back closer to the time you arrive. Good luck.
