Cabs in Kanab

We will be on a Caravan tour next month with an overnight in Kanab. It's hard to tell real distance on maps, so does anyone know if there is a local cab company that can pick you up at the Confort Inn so that we can go to dinner on our own

Kanab is a small town. I'm not sure that there is a taxi service. I did a very quick web serch and did not find anything, but you could try yellowpages.com for Kanab to see if there is a taxi service. You might also try checking with the Confort Inn to see if they offer a shuttle service.

Now all that said, I did try plotting the walking route form the Comfort Inn to the Rocking V, which is probably the best eatery in Kanab. The distance is about 1.5 miles one-way and it is a flat walk.

I did the search similar to what Ohiohick stated earlier. There are taxi services that serve Kanab, but are based elsewhere, like St George.

I agree that contacting your hotel can produce a suitable answer to your query.

Interesting OH how the Comfort Inn's website lists the Rocking V as being 2.5 miles away. :-)

It appears that Wendy's is right next door though

Widmarsh: that is interesting. I would think they the hotel folks would know the distance. Google maps is not always as accurate as it could be.

I'll second the Rockin V as a restaurant to try. Nice place.

Maybe try Nedra's in Kanab. That's closer to Comfort Inn and good food as well.

Nedras is another good choice. Mexican fare and quite tasty. Certainly better in terms of walking distance from the Comfort Inn. The Rewind Diner is also a good option (but further from the Comfort Inn). Rocking V is still my favorite.

There is not taxi service in Kanab and Rewind diner is closed. The best place to eat in the spring and summer is Trails End. Escobars is a good Mexican Resturant also. There is not a shuttle from Comfort Inn. Everything is within walking distance, in the winter you will want a jacket especially at night as when the sun goes down so does the heat.

Linda C>>> Is the Rewind just closed for the season?? or some other reason.

Sure hope not. Our group really enjoyed it at our meet up in Kanab.

Rewind is no more. The Mediterrian is the resturant that took over the spot that was Rewind.
