inexpensive motels

We are thinking of staying in Hurricane or St. George in the middle of October. Can anyone recommend inexpensive motels and things to do such as enjoying the outside, drives or museums?

There aren't that many hotels in Hurricane and all of them will be inexpensive.

You mean besides Zions? Cause that is what you want to see Zions Natl Park.

Otherwise go to St George, see the Johnson Farm Dinosaur Museum, the art museum there, the temple and tabernacle, Snow Canyon, Silver Reef Ghost town by Leeds, Grafton ghost town, etc.

Zion is definitely a must & very near St. George. Snow Canyon, on the outskirts of town, is beautiful, and there are many miles of paved bike trails both in the park and along the Virgin River through town.

Sand Hollow and Quail Creek are pretty small state parks with lakes that offer day picnic areas.

The Tuachan Theater is a lovely way to spend an evening outdoors, surrounded by beautiful red rock.

You should be able to go online and find reasonable motel rates in St. George.
