DFW Company Retreat South Padre Island or Port Aransas?

We are an IT company in Dallas organizing a retreat for 30 people end of October for 4 days.

We plan to spend team building combined with some work and relaxation.

We would need meeting facilities during the day with wifi.

We plan to spend one day doing fun activities within reasonable budget.

Would South Padre island be better in terms of fun activities compared to Corpus Christi or Port Aransas? What activities would you recommend? We prefer ocean or beach activities.

Are there resorts that can offer meeting facilities? We would need all 30 people in same room during the day.

Port Aransas is closer for us to charter a bus but if South Padre island offers better experience overall we would not mind spending the extra hours or two driving there.

I was wondering what you decided and the outcome. I have a similar situation. Thank you in advance.

SPI was looking better until my company started cost cutting and we had to cancel the whole thing.

The main expense for us was flight (7 hour drive from DFW).

Just call the resorts and regular hotels (they have conference room) and talk to them.

The hosts at each place have been nothing but wonderful and are willing to work with you.
