Cant say about the hotel .But lots going on in the area ....

your just a couple of minutes from The Patch ,though you do have to select bars with the children in mind .Turn right out of your hotel and it starts from Parque Santiago 1 ,through to Colon2 and the road leading down to the sea front from Gaelic Corner.A few more Minutes away is The Paz Strip more family orientated bars .All have different types of entertainment and character ,sure you will find one to suit your needs .If you turn left out of the hotel and first left then cross over to Shopping centre Arcade (Spanish Style is the first shop ) just carry straight on down the footpath and left at the next footpath this leads you onto The Paz Strip ....

Safari Centre ...a great place to shop ,and with the kids inmind ,on an evening theres the "Dancing Fountains and lights display " and of course being Christmas there will be lots of various decorations throughout the resorts If you head the same route for the Paz Strip but carry straight on down the footpath and dont turn off .You then come out facing Parque Santiago 3 turn right once P.Santiago 3 is in front of you and it starts just after Parque Santiago 4 .

BEACH ...imo Playa Las Vistas is Best ,if you carry on right past all the shops at the Safari Centre till you reach the last one "ZARAS" over the road is Vista Sur shopping area either go through it keeping left of the water feature or skirt the shopping area to its left and head down the slope and this beach opens out straight in front of you .

However there are many choices of beach ,from sand to pebbles to rocky to those with grassed area edges. If you head down to the shops under reception at Parque Santiago 3 you can then go through their pool area (yes its okay to do so ) and go out onto the sea front walkway you will find in front of you an area used by the local surfers which may be something you and the children will enjoy .

15/20 mins walk ...head through the Patch till you reach Colon2 then an amusement arcade .Cross straight over (Large perfume store on its corner also Iceland.as a guide) keep the perfume store on your right then you will come to Travellers Rest ,Leonardos ,and then a road that drops to the right at the bottom of which is VIVOS ,excellent for both adults and children ,heres a link .http://www.vivotreasureisland.com/

Only the children pay for the play area ,if its not gone up in the past week then its 3 euros as long as you want and come and go as you want in a day .

Hope someone comes along with advice about the hotel soon

Not stayed in La Siesta, but when we walked past most nights the children's entertainment outside was in full swing and from the sound of things they were having a great time.

Stayed there a few years ago and loved it. Lots of kids and do a disco especially for them. As said previously close to everything for all of you. Christmas is such a lovely time to be there
