We always go to Egypt in October but fancy a change can anybody tell me how hot it will be in mid October an is there any rain. Thanks
Last year we went in late November and temps were around mid 20's - mostly sunny but sun lost it's heat by about 4 o'clock. The three years previous we went in October for 2 weeks:-
2012 Sunny everyday - some rare isolated showers - temperatures 24 - 30 degrees.
2011 Two weeks of wall to wall sunshine - temperatures 25 - 32. Fantastic weather.
2010 10 sunny days, 2 cloudy days and 1 very wet day - temps 23 - 30.
The general theme is sunny, temps around mid to high 20's. The only variant is the subtle change in wind direction. Due to the high mountains to the west sometimes a westerly wind will push cloud eastwards over Morro Jable and Jandia. If the easterly starts to blow - then temps can rocket into the mid 30's (Calima) with the air coming off a very hot Sahara. When the NE breeze blows, normality rules. Sunny skies and hot - but sometimes a little too gusty - especially on the exposed beaches.
Hope this helps.
PS Even if it does rain, it's usually very light and doesn't last long - literally minutes, then the sun's out for the rest of the day!
I can second that, having gone in October/November a couple of times. Enjoy it if you go.
