Constitution Day 6th Dec

HI, we've got a long weekend booked from 5th to 8th . I have just discovered that the 6th is a bank holiday in Spain and also possibly the 8th ?

What does this mean for tourists ? are all the spanish bars/ restaurants closed or really busy ?

what about celebrations fireworks etc ?

Does it affect transport , taxis buses trains etc .

How do the spanish celebrate

Is it even noticable in Benalmadena / Arroyo ?

Thanks

Both the 6th and the 8th are holidays, although as the 8th is on a Sunday this year Monday 9th will be a holiday too.

Transport is unaffected, usually Saturday service on the buses and trains (holiday rates for taxis though...).

This is Puente Week - a busy time of year. Certainly along in Torremolinos everywhere is full with people from Northern Spain who come down for some winter sun.

Also there are not celebrations at all during those days other that some sober ceremony usually held in Madrid. It is however the longest Puente of the year and as said many people take advantage to enjoy a pre-Christmas holiday.

Restaurants and bars will operate as usual.
