Benalmadena Mobility and night-time entertainment

Hi, we are thinking of returning to Benalmadena but this time with the outlaws and my sister in law, two of whom need mobility scooters to get around.

They also like evening entertainment to be available, from Karaoke to professional shows they aren't too fussy, loving Benidorm!

So which hotels and areas would people recomenned for the 1st week of September.

Cheers

Hi there Allan

Mobility no problem with the scoots as you know, but not sure if they're ok going up those short steep hills, you may have to check on that.

As for Karaoke etc, only really two main places, CJ's up near Bonanza (8pm til early hours) and then Capones - however the latter is not suitable for mobility reasons as it's underground and god forbid there was ever a fire in there!!

Regarding live entertainment, pretty similar really. Both Bonanza and Elefante are closed so that leave Picasso's (under Ibensa Square) but small and you would have to leave scoots outside.. and Buzby's along the main road opposite the Riviera Hotel....

As for Hotels, it really depends on budget, class (i.e. HB, FB, AI etc) you want... check out the Hotels link on the left hand side of this page.

Cheers cheeky for your prompt reply, as we are looking to go in September I would hope that Elefante and Bonanza would be open, unless of course they have closed for good.

Last year we enjoyed Plaza Ole, so that is the 'quiet' nights sorted :-)

Hi again

Yes, they have both closed for good, unless of course someone with more money than sense decides to open them up again and pay off all the debt.....

Plaza Ole is very nice and perfect for those "hide away" quiet nights :) Always worth a wander round the marina of course and if you fancy it then along into La Carihuela which is also great for quiet drinks or fun drinks/cocktails in one of the many Chiringuitos mixing with the Spanish...
