Is it still $25 US for a Tourist Visa paid on arrival in Bali?
Yes, and 150,000 Rupiah on departure
Thanks for your reply..
Is it quicker to pay in cash or with a credit card.
Last time I was there the visa queue was a nightmare!
I didnt see any credit card facility. Depends what time you arrive the que will vary. Cash is quick.
Just got back yesterday. Paid VOA in AUD. They charged me $52 for 2 visas (I think they got the exchange rate round the wrong way). I handed over $55 (they didn't want a $2 coin) and got change back in Rupiah. Saved the cost of buying USD before we left.
Yes I was a bit annoyed. The AUD$ is higher than the US$ and I was charged $26AUD last week. Someone in early June said they paid $25AUD.
At least they gave a near normal rate for the $4 change. 32,000rp. So 8000 (instead of 9000). So only 50cents less.
So ripped off for $1.50 :-)) I can live with that.
Yes a $1.50 ripoff is easy to live with. Would have cost a lot more at the airport just to buy US$50 for the Visa.
Cash only. When we were there last month an Aussie who tried to pay with a credit card was directed to the ATMs (and vocally not happy about it :-( ).
