"Girlfriends Getaway" Spa Day Recommendations?

I noticed any reference to a spa has been years ago, and although the Houstonian is an easy choice for a lavish pampering I was hoping for any updated, lesser known spa escape in Houston? Where have you gone for an upscale retreat?

Norris of Houston. Pricey but nice in the Galleria area.

Per my better half, an updated "better known" spa in Houston is Urban Retreat, and a lesser known spa is French Twist. Both are in the same approximate area, each a half mile from Shepherd Drive and San Felipe. Both are reviewed a lot on Yelp, Google and comparable sources.

Fiori, in the Galleria area, is AWESOME! They have an outdoor pool and gardens, as well as an indoor mineral pool and hot tub that you can use the entire day of your treatment!

Fiori is nice but I have been upset with their service lately. I highly recommend Tre Spa in the West University Area (http://trespasalon.com). It’s small but very hip and AMAZING service. Great Massages, facials, and other treatments. I get my hair and make-up done there for special events -It could be fun for y’all to get dolled up after your treatment and paint the town. There are tons of wine bars, shopping, and restaurants in West U and Upper Kirby. Another idea – Hotel ZaZa has an okay spa – if you stay there, y’all could lay out by the pool after – just a warning -its really trendy so if that’s not your thing you are better off at the Houstonian or Omni Hotel. Hope y’all have a wonderful girls’ trip!
