houston at night

Seven of us will be in Houston for a week on a business trip. We would like suggestions on what to do in the evening, including where to eat! On past business trips, we have had a great time bowling, riding go-carts, shooting pool - basically anything competitive. Thanks!

When will you be here? What part of the city are you staying in?

In March, the rodeo is in town. Lots of stuff going on with that event.

Otherwise, being the 4th largest city in the country we have just about everything.

Lots of bars in midtown - not that you mentioned bars but there is a dueling piano bar that you might enjoy. Downtown is a Slick Willie's Poolhall that you might enjoy.

Greetings Hawkeyegirl3,

Couple of eateries I would recommend would be the Downtown Aquarium Restaurant:

The DT Aquarium has pretty good food and the giant aquarium that within the restarant is a sight to see. One caveat though is that the DT Aquarium does attract lots of families with energetic children, so don't expect to have a very quiet dinner if you do go.

Another restaurant that I recommend is Fogo de Chao:

While a little ways from downtown Houston, Fogo de Chao, a wonderful Brazilian styled restaurant, is certainly worth the ride especially if you enjoy meat.

Safe travels to you!

George B.
