Honeymooners from Kansas City

My fiance and I are planning to wed in September and are considering the Sevierville area for our honeymoon. We would like to stay at a cabin but have become wary of doing so because the first place we looked at was Timber Tops and its TripAdvisor reviews were scary to say the least. The next place we are considering is Starr Crest Resort. From what I've read it sounds ideal except for the proximity of the cabins.

Can anyone recommend a cabin that is fairly secluded?

Finding seclusion is getting harder and harder. We used to stay in the Wear Valley - Townsend area, but even it is become built-up. Southern Living Magazine did a feature on cabins in the smokies in the fall of 2007 -- that article may help you. Picking one cabin out of the thousands that are there is a daunting task. The best advice I can give is to be leary of any cabin that doesnt have pics of the outside of the cabin on it's website, no matter how gorgeous the inside, or the view from the balcony is. This question has been asked alot on here, so i imagine if you did a search on private or secluded cabins, you would find lots of useful posts.

There are a lot of secluded cabins here. What are you looking for? No one around so your cabin is completely isolated? Wooded? Views? Luxury? Gamerooms? I might be able to give you a few options if you can give me some more info on these things.

We love Hidden Moutain Resort in Sevierville Tn. It is only about 2 miles from the parkway. They are VERY NICE and we stay in the cabin named French Garden. it's a cabin in the (East Cabins) it's a one bedroom and kind of hidden by all the tree's. I think you would like it. you can look at it on line at www.hiddenmoutain.com and they don't charge a cleaning fee like most cabin rentals do. We are going there for Thanksgiving also and plan on cooking our dinner in the cabin can't wait.
