Dollywood ticket swapping

Our large group of 10-12 plan to visit dollywood next week. We only want to spend one day. We may do the enter after 3 next day free deal. Some of us would prefer the water park and others the regular park. We are wondering if we could split up. Half of us buying the one day pass to DW and the others buying the water park pass, then meet up in the car lot and swap parks. So we can all experience our preferred park for most of the day but still see the other one. Anyone tried this?

It wouldn't work. They take your tickets at the gate and stamp your hand for reentry. You either have to pick one or pay for both.

Never had a hand stamp from there? I would say it would work because after 3 next day free you keep your ticket to return next day.

We have had Dollywood Splash and Play tickets before and yes they do stamp you hand if you go out and want to come back in the same day.

From their website:

Reentrance to the park on the same day

•You must have your hand stamped at the exit.

Return to the park later in the day

•Have your hand stamped at the exit at the Dollywood Emporium. Keep your ticket so it can be scanned when you return.
