Near Prestatyn Haven caravan park

I'm heading here in September for a short trip, and was wondering what are the better sites to see near the caravan park that aren't too pricey, and if there is a supermarket nearby. Thanks

There's a Co-op in Prestatyn but the nearest big supermarkets are in Rhyl.

There is an Asda and a Sainsbury's there.

There is a Spar shop on site, but in exchange for the convenience it is a little more expensive.

There is a small general store on the road leading to the Haven site, which you could probably walk to if you enjoy a stroll out and don't buy too much heavy stuff to carry back! There is also a Spar and an Iceland in Prestatyn and we found a Morrison's in Rhyll.

As for things to do, I would recommend trying the Bells of St Mary's pub for a carvery lunch. Very nice indeed and good value.

The bus should take somewhere between 15-25 minutes depending on which one you catch. You want to try to catch the number 2 rather than a number 11. During the summer there's an open top double decker that runs between Towyn and Talacre and stops in Prestatyn and at Presthaven which is great fun (but may not be running in September).

Also, and I realise this thread dates back five years so it needs an update, Prestatyn now has a large Tesco on the new retail park next to the station. If you do use it be aware that parking cowboys operate in the car park so park there at your peril.
