Memphis Marriott Downtown, help please

Going to memphis with my husband. Need to keep busy while he is working!

How is this hotel? Is it a good location? Is it walking distance to anything? Where is it in relation to The Peabody or The residence inn.

Thank you!

The Marriott is adjacent to the Convention Center about four blocks from the Residence Inn and five from the Peabody. You can easily grab a Main St. trolley right in front of your hotel and roll down to these places or Beale St. in maybe seven blocks. The Marriott is a good typical full service Marriott. You might go down to the Peabody and base yourself out of the beautiful old lobby for a day or so, having a drink while re-grouping and people & duck watch.

I stayed here after The Westin cancelled our reservations.. Its about a half mile north from the Peabody and about a mile from Beale Street. I was happy with the service, accommodations and the food in the breakfast buffet. the trolley that runs right next to it will take you pretty much wherever you want to go for a $1
