Impressive! Thanks for sharing.

Interesting to see lonely planet advertising the referendum as a tourist event. A friend recently likened it to 'putting metal in the microwave' - you know it will be dangerous and costly, but you still kind of want to see the explosive outcome!

Abs :)

They all do, but that's what marketing can do for you. all you need is a "monster".

Very true Alex but I do hope that the guidebook did a little more than rely on some marketing and PR for a mythical creature.

I would like to think that they might well have done some research of their own.

Or am I being naive?

I have obviously been to Loch Ness William and I am surprised that it always seems to feature highly in the list of places to visit by people coming to Scotland, The only reason for that that I can see is the monster myth.

Loch Ness could at best be described as "nice" but I live on Loch Lomondside and the scenery here on my doorstep would rival any in the world. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs can blow Loch Ness away. :o)
