Hi PP

The lodges are located a short distance from Balloch on Loch Lomond, you would need a car as there is not much in the immediate area although it is easy to get a local taxi.

They are located beside the Cruin Bar and Restaurant which serves lovely food and has stunning views over Loch Lomond and I can recommend eating there, all are located in a very quiet parkland type area.

Close by (5-7)minutes by car is the Balloch which has a large Co-op Supermarket and some fast food outlets and restaurants (I can recommend Cucina Ristorante) slightly further away in Alexandria you have other supermarkets and banks etc.

There is easy access from Balloch to Glasgow by train should you wish to go there.

You are able to take cruises on the Loch from Balloch or you may wish to go further up the Loch and cruise from Tarbet. Helensburgh is also close should you wish to go there.

A few minutes walk from the lodges there is a play area if you have children located close to Duck Bay and there is a Sea Life centre located at Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch.

Also worth a visit is the small village of Luss which is a few miles up the Loch (before Tarbet) and is a nice place to visit and have a coffee / lunch.

Great info!! Thanks a bunch!!

We will be driving there from edinburgh in the morning, so we will have a car to get around. We are hoping to have dinner at Martin Wishart's restaurant if it is not too far... Now I wish we have more time to spend at this place and explore!!

Thanks again!!

Martin Wishart's restaurant is located at Cameron House which is about a 10 minute stroll along the small road at the side of the Loch or is just a few minutes by car, it is next door to Duck Bay and very easy for you to get to from your lodge.
