car or public transport?

Hi,

I am due to visit Mull for 3 nights in september. we are going to be staying in tobermory. Is it easy to get public transport to tobermory or will i need my car? Is there a safe place to leave your car in oban? We are planning to go on an organised wildlife trip whilst we are there. Many thanks.

If you want to see the wonderful Isle of Mull, the entire Isle, including the west coast, do yourself a favour, and take the car with you. Or book a guided tour. You won't regret it.

Calmac car ferries are pretty expensive, although there is a cheaper excursion fare for trips of up to five days. It is an advantage having a car on Mull, but it's not absolutely essential. There are buses on Mull, though operating only two or three routes. See http://www.bowmanstours.co.uk/
