pawleys plantation

Will be visiting Pawleys Plantation on business in November.

Would like to know info about their breakfast buffet, non smoking areas, and proximity to the beach. (Is everything catered to golfers?) Also, any local info on places close by to eat lunch, between meetings. Any other general information would be appreciated.....have not been to Pawleys Island in about 5 years.

Pawleys does offer a full hot buffet breakfast unless occupancy is extremely low. Then if offers full a la carte breakfast menu. The Sawgrass Dining Room and Oak Grille are non smoking,

The Palmetto Pub does allow smoking. Great new chef be sure to try dinner if you are there on a Thurs or Friday. Be sure to request a non-smoking unit - call a few days ahead.

Good close by lunch restaurants inlude Chive Blossom, Bistro 217, Louis' in the Hammock Shops. Bummz Grille & Yacht Club in Litchfield is great for lunch or dinner.

Beach is about a five minute drive to the public parking on the south end of Pawleys Island.

Also, Landolfi's Italian and Gator Krawls are really super choices for great food, reasonable prices, and atmosphere.

Both are right on Hwy 17.

Landolfi's on the west side, just north of PP, and Gator Krawls on the east side a mile or so north.

PP is very serene as regular traffic is not allowed into the complex. It is a gated community.

Good luck.

Here's an interesting Squidoo page that describes area attractions.
