We signed up for Capt Rod's 3 hour plantation river cruise which left the Georgetown dock at noon. We arrived early and I am so glad we did. Geurgetown has a very nice historic District along Front st and the harbourwalk. We ate breakfast at Thomas's cake and it was outstanding the omelete's and hash browns were great. Georgetown is pretty quaint and has more pre revolutionary buildings then Williamsburg VA.It has quite a few bars and restaurants overlooking the Harbourwalk and water and it's just a great town to stroll around and visit little shops, etc. I would highly recommend taking the 35-40 minute drive and spend the day. In fact today they are having Rock the Equinox with 11 bands and 2 stages set up downtown.
