Sea View Inn on Pawleys Island?

Want an ocenafront accomodation away from it all- has anyone stayed here? How about the Litchfield Inn? Any other ideas are much appreciated!

I posted to your other topic. You mention "away from it all"; have you thought about the North Carolina Outer Banks? The islands of Hatteras and Ocracoke are definitely "away from it all". (A favorite "saying" in the area is "If the world ended tomorrow, we wouldn't know for 3 days") There area no oceanfront accommodations on Ocracoke Island, the entire oceanfront is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore so most everyone stays in mostly very quaint little motels and Band B's around the harbor area and rides bikes to the beach and/or everywhere they go. There is no bridge to the island so you must take a ferry to get off and on the island. Hatteras Island is next to Ocracoke and does have oceanfront accommodations. (and a bridge connecting it to the outerside world) Most motels on the island have been run by local families for many years. Much of Hatteras Island is also part of the National Seashore so there's also miles of beautiful natural shoreline there. There's also a lot of historical places to see throughout the Outer Banks such as the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse etc. Here's a website: http://www.outerbanks.org/ (there are many other websites with tons of info.)

We are headed down there next week, and can't wait!

Best Wishes!
