Taxis and Trolley

Hi, we will be visiting for the first time fro 3 days in early November. Not planning on renting a car, as our hotel is right in the middle of the historic district. My question is, what is the approximate taxi fare from the airport to central HD and how far a ride? Also, it seems like the trolley will get you anywhere you need to be, so do you really need a car?

Here's the info on taxis.

The trolley is fine, if you are staying strictly in the HD, there are pedicabs, which are pretty efficient to and from restaurants in the evening (you pay for them).

No need to have a car unless you want to visit any outlying areas ~ plantations, etc.

Taxi ride according to the airport website is around $30 bucks for a taxi and around $40-$100.00 for limo. Depends on how many people in your party as well. It is about 10 miles from airport.
