There is plenty to see & do in the Lancaster area. Your question can be best answered if you could give some additional information about your interests, the length of your stay, the time of year you will be visiting, and ages of those in your travel group - any kids, etc. Thanks.

Chiques Rock in Columbia is a nice view.

Plenty of scenic countryside above Brownstown.

North Museum, Lancaster Science Factory and Dutch Wonderland are great for kids.

For sight seeing I always reccomend just driving around the backroads. Sometimes to most beautiful scenery is hidden far away from toursit attactions.

Strasburg Railroad, Kitchen Kettle Village and a buggy ride are ususally favorites of first time tourists.

Are you looking for good food? Shopping? Theatres? Tours? Museums? Or just to experience the Amish culture in general?

I would recomend the towns of Bird-in-Hand, Intercourse, Strasburg, and Ronks, and Paradise. You'll cover all of the points I mentioned and more in these towns!
