Mullion and surrounding areas

We're visiting Mullion for the 2nd time later this month.

I would like to know please of interesting places to go in the surrounding area. We do have a car so no problem there. As I can't walk far, we are looking for anywhere on the level or which has access for wheelchairs.

Hope the weather is good.

Thanks.

There is a good list of local attractons on the Mullion Cove Hotel website - with links so should not be too difficult to research on 'accessability' at any of their suggestions:

This website might help a bit too:

I hope you get some more detailed information on 'flat' sites from locals or recent visitors! It's a beautiful area, enjoy your trip.

Penzance promenade is flat and therefore very wheelchair friendly. If you park at the east end, near the Lido pool, it's about a mile walk to Newlyn with opportunities to stop for a cuppa along the way. Lovely Jelberts icecream at Newlyn bridge or fish & chips if you're hungry.

If you don't want to go that far, half way along the Promenade you can turn inland and about 100yds up Morrab Rd there's the entrance to the Morrab Gardens which are (mostly) tarmaced paths.

At the top end of Morrab Rd (about 500yds but uphill) there's the Penlee Gardens and Penlee House, Gallery and Museum which also has a nice cafe. More details here:

Marazion has easy parking and level walking, with great views to ST Michaels Mount, though a trip over there might be more difficult.

You can park at The Lizard and use the wide paths there though there are some steeper areas, but you can visit the little shops and cafes and still see the great scenery.

Coverack has easy parking and mostly level walking, a lovely cafe with views over the harbour.
