Renting a comdo in sunriver

Can anyone recommend one rental company over another? We are planning to go in July. We want to be close to the nature center. We also will have our own bikes and need to have them secure overnight. We're thinking about a Meadow House condo unit. Any thoughts? Also, it looks like we would have to drive to the pool or Mavericks. Is there parking in these places. Thanks

I think all rental companies would be about the same, quality wise. Just find one that will put you close to the nature center if that is what you want. I believe there is 38 miles of paved bike paths (it is illegal to ride on roadways and the police WILL ticket) so everything can be acessed by bicycle. Security is outstanding in Sunriver. The community has their own police force that patrols on bike, foot and car. There was a snafu a few years back, turned out their force had no legal grounds, but has since been solved. As great as Sunriver is, it is a heavily touristed area. Head out of SR for some real Central Oregon.

Oh yeah... Stop at either entrance to Sunriver at the "?" signs and grab a free map. If you come in from Cottonwood RD. as soon as you cross the railroad bridge there will two roads (I believe North and South Imnaha) the map box is on the right past the intersection. If you enter through the main entrance (through the waterfall round-about) the map box is on the right immediatly past the rock wall and the "welcome to Sunriver" sign. Even the locals get lost here!
