You could rent a car for a day. Other wise, although I have no direct experience with these folks, you can research to see if one suits:

You also might want to look into a river tour?

Hello,

The thing about a tour is that they stop at preplanned places. For a set amount of time. Some people love them. Others who come into Mutlnomah Falls (we volunteer there) and are dismayed that they can't take in enough places or stay as long as they like.

Also, if you took the Cascade Locks Sternwheeler or the Hood River steam train they wouldn't wait for you. www.mthoodrr.com

Google the CRGNSA and look at what is available to see what is good for you.
