Clothes to pack

We are staying on the Oregon coast for a week at the end of July. We have never been and just wondering what to pack? Shorts? Coats? Thanks

I live in shorts year-round, but I was born here. Rain is not likely, so be prepared with layers. Fleece is always good.

Coats ! High temperature on the coast in July is usually 69-70 degrees and it goes down from there. People from other parts of the country might be surprised at our unique climate here.

consider where you live, wear and what will make you shiver or strip.

then look at the temperatures that eddie gave and see how your body responds.

Since you will be on the coast, you can expect it to change fast. Sometimes it could be overcast and cool and sunny and hot.

Expect some wind too.

If you are gong to travel more, look at layers.

i forgot to add. you can check the weather before you leave and pack accordingly and hope for the best.

I personally dont use any weather forecast more than 3 or 4 days out.

I spent 3 days on the Oregon coast last week. First day it was overcast with some fog. Temps in the 50s and some wind. The next day there wasn't a cloud in the sky, but there was a very cold strong wind blowing. Temps in the low 60s. The last day it was partly cloudy. Same time a year ago, I was on the coast. It was overcast and/or raining for 3 days. Both trips, I always had at least a fleece jacket and sometimes also wore a windbreaker with a hood.

Shorts, sandals, windbreaker, and layers.

You should be able to pack in a carry-0n for this trip.
