K Falls vacation

Thanks to all for the great ideas. We skipped K Falls on the way to Reno and stayed 4 days in Medford instead. It's a nice town, very clean with lots of things to do in and surrounding it. We drove back to Grants Pass and did the Hell Gate jet boat ride. We did the lunch ride where a stopover included lunch at their OK Corral, very good. The jet boat was awesome! The guide did several 360 turns (plan to get wet) and stopped for wildlife and other sights. He was very funny and kept us amused the whole trip. It took about 3 1/2 hours and cost around $45.00, well worth every penny. They also have a scenic trip (no food) and a dinner run. By the way, this trip is safe enough and fun for kids too. Medford has all the ameneties of a bigger town but the charm of the country with walking paths all along the river. We highly recommend it as a destination or sidetrip.

Thanks for letting us know what a great time you had. The jetboats are a lot of fun. Just curious, though, why you titled this K Falls vacation since you didn't spend anytime there? Might be easier for people searching to call it Medford vacation....

I posted to the K Falls section because it's where I originally had asked for travel advice. Just wanted to thank everyone for being so nice with their answers. I guess it would be prudent to also post in the Medford forum. Thanks for the advice!
