Summertime chairlift - Mt Hood or Mt Bachelor?

Which of these would be best to do or should we do both? Also looking for information for the sights/short hikes at the top of either lift that are worthwhile. Thanks

Do both if you have the time. Timberline if you must choose. The lodge alone is worth the trip, plus at the top of the mile you'll see some of the world's best skiers and boarders honing their skills on the year round Palmer snowfield. Pacific Rim trail circles the mountain with views of Mt. Adams, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. St. Helens, the Three Sisters and more, plus Timothy and Trillium lakes. If you plan on hiking from the top of the mile be sure to log a trip plan at the lodge and go prepared for a change in the weather with some emergency gear, cell phone etc. If you haven't done any snow hiking or climbing don't try climbing or venture to far from the lift above Timberline without an experienced guide or local with you. It sucks having to get rescued.

ParkHiker,

Go over to Ski Bowl's Adventure Park in Mount Hood National Forest as well. Lots of fun things to do. Google it and you will see what they have to offer.

Min

edit: not far from Timberline.
