Is early entry really needed for a weekend in September?

DH and I are taking our five year anniversary trip to Cedar Point on the weekend of Sept 28th. Is the park really crowded enough this time of the year to warrant staying on property to just to get early entry? I would at least like to ride one or two without waiting in looong lines and I'm not sure that it will happen without early entry.

Thanks

no, i wouldn't worry about it. get there 15 minutes or so before the main gates open, and your first ride wait will be shorter than normal.
