dog friendly lodging in hocking hills

thinking about going to the hocking hills area for the first time sometime in mid to late march, or if thats just going to be too muddy then maybe early june.. there are so many cabins its hard to know where to start so looking for help. we like to hike with our dogs, so it needs to be pet friendly, and like a nice quiet area close to trails, but not too far to go and grab something to eat. any suggestions?

As for how muddy March will be, it just really depends on the weather. We just got back from a 3 day stay on Saturday and with all the rain we have had lately I was suprised that the trails were in decent shape.

Picking between March and June.....both times will be nice. We enjoy hiking with our dogs.

As for pet friendly I am sure someone will speak up or try searching the forms....I know there are several. The only place we have stayed is Inn at Cedar Falls (but we live close to Hocking Hills). Inn at Cedar falls has 2 cottages that are pet friendly (and maybe a cabin, but not sure about that. However if you are going on a weekend, they are prety booked until May.

use this link. You can put in your dates and choose "pets allowed" (and other requirements) and it will pull up a list of places available for your time frame and with your requirements.

You should be able to find pet-friendly lodging using the link above. Both times of year should be really beautiful.

We love pet-friendly Crooked Mile Cabin in Logan and will be going back for our 4th (or maybe 5th?) visit this spring. It's very private and sits on top of a hill on 150 acres. There's a small lake on the property our dog loves to swim in. It was new when we started visiting there and it's a very lovely log cabin with a big stone wood burning fireplace, hot tub, front and back porches with rockers, and it has a fire pit outside, also.

Check out buffalo lodging, the waterfall cabin is pet friendly, centrally located, clean and really unique. We stayed last year in this cabin and also got a peak at the gamebird cabin that was also nice. We just booked there waccaback lodge for a group going in July. Janel is the owenr she was courteous, helpfull and does an amazing job with cabins.
