Parking at ferry

Is it really worth bringing a vehicle? Do they charge for parking on the mainland if you go to Kelley's for the weekend?

I believe it is $8.00 to park your car in the lot on the mainland. It is $30 to take your car (round trip). It is also $14 an hour to rent a golf cart. To me, it is cheaper to take your car. IMO, things are too spread out to walk to everything on Kelley's Island. For an extra $22, you could have a vehicle all weekend, vs.$14 an hour for a golf cart.
