Phillip Island b and b's

Looking for b and b accommodation. I have a list of about 25 but most do not have websites so no photos. Can you recommend one on the Island, preferably one that is out of the way, no one knows about b and b.

Well, Clazina, sorry to laugh, but: - if it's an "out of the way, no one knows about B & B", we won't either, will we?

Here's a few that came up on Google. visitphillipisland.com/accommodation/bed_and…

I've stayed at Phillip Island, but not in a B & B, so can't help with personal recommendations for any, I'm afraid.

Do a search in that small green rectangle on the almost top left of the page - 'Phillip Island B&B's' Have a look on some of the trip reports for Victoria. Some of the posters have mentioned where they have stayed in those articles. And go to the review section for Phillip Island accoms.

Here is a new accom that may just suit you -

Eco Resort set on 25 hectares opposite Phillip Island Wild life Park

www.theislandresort.com offers a range of facilities and accoms and a licenced restaurant.

The blurb taalks about a complimentry mid-week or w/e stay?! ( or maybe you had to visit the Home Show in August for that!)

GardenBoffin your link takes me to a resort in the Cayman Islands not Phillip Island. Do you mean the All Seasons Eco Resort?

Some of my fave places on the island would be:

The Cliff Top in Smiths Beach (stunning)

http://www.clifftop.com.au/

Spice Island B&B in Sunderland Bay

The also run the cafe on Churchill Island and a regular cooking school (which I'm booking in for over summer) and their food is scrummy!

Glen Isla (friends stayed here and raved about it)

http://www.glenisla.com/home.asp

There's also The Hill Of Content in Rhyll which looks kinda cool too - although I haven't seen it in person yet.

The Whitehouse in Rhyll

Although not a B&B I also believe that the Silverwater resort in San Remo (just off the island) is one of the best places to stay for modern/contemporary accomodatio withe fantastic Melbourne quality food and facilities along with great water views.

All of the above may not be hidden gems and fairly well known but they are my faves.

Hope these help.

Thanks for all the info. Have tried all of those and most do not have avail.on the date I need in Nov. Can you believe. Decided to do Mornington instead and it was hard to find accommodations there but have booked into the Plantation B and B. They also said no avail but actually called the place and they really did have avail. So I guess most b and b's screen their weekend stayers and the advice is call direct.

My apologies 'woolamai' and 'clazina' . Didn't notice that there was an '.au on the end of that site

www.theislandresort.com.au They had a stand at the Melbourne Home Show and this info came from, I think, 'The Seniors' monthly paper.

The Eco resort is being launched in September. Phone 5952-8000

I see its an All Seasons property at Cowes.

Clazina .... the first Tuesday in Nov is the Melbourne Cup and a lot of Melbournites take this as a long weekend. So this weekend in particular can be very busy. Glad to hear you found somewhere to book in over at the peninsula. It's beautiful there and you'll have a ball no doubt.

GardenBoffin --- the All Seasons Eco resort was the one I thought you were referring to. But, it has been open for a few years now - so not new, but relatively new. So I'm still a bit confused by your post. Are they opening a new section of this resort in Sep this year?

The information was printed in the August edition of the Seniors paper. No other info given except how to have a free w/e or midweek break - so perhaps they have rejuvenated/addded extra ./ You had to go to the Home Show to be able to have the freebies.

Can you check them out?
