Should we visit in March?

My husband and I are going to Birmingham by car from Norway. And would like to spend one night not too far from Dover / Folkstone. Whitstable seems lovely with independent shops, great restaurants and the shore line. But would we better off staying more inland since we're arriving in March?

What are your concerns about visiting Whitstable in March? If it is the weather, the seaside can be wonderful at all times of the year, for different reasons. Winter walks along the coast can be invigorating, although by March the worst of the winter weather should be over. If you think it may be quiet, Whitstable is exceedingly busy on weekends all year round, there's no let-up from the London invasion during the winter season!
