If this is a summertime thing you are planning, the Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay are just outside of Dublin (convenient to any of the Dublin hotels).

Here's a link to the Dublin Convention & Visitors Bureau, where you can find out about events for the particular dates you will be in town.


There are a number of small festivals throughout the summer, there are also programs offered in the area. Here's a link to the Dublin Arts Council...

The Dublin Irish Festival is the 2nd largest Irish Fest in the country. http://www.dublinirishfestival.org It's Aug 6-8. There are lots of bands / food vendors / shopping and a lot of things for kids to do. I highly recommend this festival for anyone.
