duty free

Does anyone know what we are and are not allowed to purchase at duty free in Canada or Mexico and carry on flight? ie... can we bring back bottles of tequila or kahlua? Not sure what the restrictions are since the changes in august.

I think it´s fine as long as the duty free items are delivered directly to the plane.

Returned from BPA and we packed Tequila in the suit case and bought duty free after security check in at the airport which had a very good selection and resonable prices.

Check Duty free info at Canada customs for quantities.

We also carried our insulated bootles of rum and coke ( filled at the hotel ) for the trip ( bus transfer direct ) and passed through security no problem.

The check in and security seemed less intense but was still thorough.

Stuff made out of WOOD, bamboo does not count.

Coffee and candy are fine, just tell them when you go through customs.

You can bring back 1.14 L of liquor each (over 19) if you get it at the airport you can carry it onboard, if before it must go in your checked luggage.

We were going out of the "Charter Terminal" late at night (our flight was late) they did not check what liquids we took on board. But earlier flights were told to get rid of liquids. They allowed drinks into the waiting area, as there is no where else to wait before security.
