Check Akumal Inside, I think there are recommendations there.

Breakfast: Turtle Bay Cafe. Can't miss it.

Dinner: Que Onda. Great pasta in a pretty little garden. Also, the restaurant at the Hacienda La Tortuga, it's called La Luna something.

Bring repellent.

Right, I assumed you were staying at a condo in Half Moon Bay.

We are renting a car - so it does not matter where the the places are located. We like to explore.

We had a GREAT lunch, fresh grilled fish & grilled veggies, at Turtle Bay Cafe.

Thanks for all the recommendations - we just returned and had a great time. Food was awesome in the places we tried.

never saw a single bug ! Slept with our slider open every night to get the breeze.

Our plane was late arriving into Cancun - then the car we rented started over heat. So we had to drive the last 30 minutes in the dark on the 307 - but we had a great time.
