Punta de Mita

Is this a village, that you can walk to from the Palladium. If so what is there? We stayed in San Jose del Cabo two years ago and it was great you could walk into town. Is this the same idea?

Thanks again

1. Re: Punta de Mita

Hi luvsnorkelling;

It´s about 5 minutes by car or bus to the nearest villages but, it´s a two lane highway where cars go pretty fast. Not very pedestrian friendly really. However, buses are very frequent (about every 5 minutes), just outside the gate to the Palladium, a bit north. From the Palladium, cross the road to go north and take the bus to the end of the line and walk around..

Punta Mita is actually the name of the gated development, but everyone calls the villages there Punta Mita (They are actually called Emiliano Zapata and Nuevo Corral del Risco).

Greg is right on.

Punta de Mita is the small town.

You can get to PVR easy, also. Just walk out the gate to the 2 lane highway.(about 4 city block walk)...at the big sign, you just stand on side of road..but will see you going South.. and stop for you. They come about every 15mins.

but NOT at night.

You just tell the driver where you want to go.. Most have AC , and fun to see things as you travel.. You can ask to get off in approx. 20min. at Bucerias...Nice town on water to see. They have a market for shopping...Cheaper IMHO than the boardwalk and market in PVR. You can tell the driver you want off at Mega store, that is just South end of Bucerias (Like a WalMart) Really good prices. You will have to cross the 4 lane highway.. but there is a light there.

OR you can stay on and go right into PVR... you will have to get off and Transfer to a Centro bus for the last approx.15min drive to Downtown PVR.

Just tell driver ,where you want to go and he will tell you the Price.

If I remember it's about $1.50 each to Bucerias, and about 3 to PVR.

Re: your First question: Palladium is Very isolated ,built on cliffs..So NOthing close by at All...
