Bulgaria still uses levs for it's currency.
You normally get a better rate in the resorts than at home but beware, cheques carry a heavy commission( sometimes up to 10% )Take your currency with you and change it at any of the numerous banks. Do not change at the booths or with anyone approaching you in the street or you will be conned.
The official currency is the Lev (Lv), which is divided into 100 stotinki.
i Euro = roughly 2 Levs so currency conversion is pretty simple.
They don't use Euros till now but LEV but we they accept euro if you don't have enough local currency.
About activities so sunny beach is the best place to visit and also Albena beach.
You can look the website here to get more information about what to see there,it is very helpful.
Hi , the best place we found for changing euro to lev was the alphabank beside the furniture shops before you reach the area of the kuban hotel. Its about a 5 min walk past the lighthouse restaurant which is quiet nice. If you need any more info just ask.
