Quirimbas archipelago in February

We're considering going to Quirimbas in February but have read the weather is at its hottest and wettest. Has anyone been at that time of year and do you think it's worth the risk of bad weather, eg is heat/rain constant or intermittent? Are there any similar areas you would recommend in February otherwise?

heat is constant, rain intermittent and quite refreshing when it passes through! (which is often daily but in short bursts)

Thanks! It ended up working perfectly. Mostly sunny and just one very hot day (around 38 degrees) and 2 thunderstorms which didn't last long and were nice and refreshing.
