Kure beach - loved it

Just came back from a vacation by the sea at Kure Beach, NC, on Pleasure Island, near Cape Fear.

For everyone who loves to be in a REALLY quiet place, uncrowded beach, strong waves, lots of wind, on the Eastern Coast, this is the place. And we rented an oceanfront condo in the Ocean Dunes resort from Victory Beach Vacations. They were the best - so helpful... and the condo was super clean and with a wonderful view... Kure Beach and Carolina Beach (its "neighbor") are located 25 mins. from Wilmington, a charming university town with quaint boutiques (that close early,

though!) and lots of restaurants... We will be back!

Glad you liked it. I am in love with the area. I have many childhood memories of Kure...

Oh, nice, Gnodule!

For us it's a 20-hour drive South (from Quebec, Canada)... but it's so much worth it - warm ocean and all. So many days until next summer..... :(

Have a great day and enjoy your "proximity" with beautiful North Carolina's shore!
