there is a night bus that goes to calella and pineda but you would then need to get a taxi to lloret at around €30
a taxi would cost around €120-150 from barcelona.
it may make more sense to book a hotel for 1 night in barcelona
Thank you, will look at the night bus option. Sombody has also sent details of the supporters club so going to enquire with them as well. Have looked at hotels for the 1 night in Barcelona but it is coming up quite expensive.
The supporters club, is a bar 'Penya Barcelonista' its near the police station, easy to find..think its about €25, can't remember but my family have used it and it works very well.
Thank you, is that in Lloret de Mar? How did you organise travel with the supporters club when you did it?
Just call into the bar, they will understand! Yes it's in Lloret near the market municipal and police station, has a canopy over the terrace in Barca colours (cant miss it) they give you a receipt and time and you board the bus near disco Hollywood, its good fun for kids to be with real supporters!
Ps they have a Facebook page 'Penya Barcelonista de Lloret'
Thanks very much, think if we can get on the supporters bus will definately make it more fun for the children! Also is it easy to find the bus after the game?
The coaches and spaces are all numbered..write them down! But it must be easy, my lot managed it! It really is the easiest way to the match, even if you booked match and coach thru a hotel ( no coach only!) they set off mid afternoon and pick up at every hotel and town on route..the Lloret bus is direct and the Spanish love kids! Have fun,
Thanks for your help, hopefully they will have space for us!
Just in case anybody is planning this for a future trip, this is how we did it. We did ask in the Barcelona supportes club in Lloret de Mar but unfortunately they had no space for us on the coach. Getting to the game was really straight forward and getting back at this time was difficult but it is possible. We walked down to the metro and got line 3 to Passeig de Gracia. There we got the night bus to Pineda, the hardest part was that the bus drops you off quite out of the main area of Pineda so getting a taxi was difficullt, the bus goes through Calella first and we would have been better getting off there as there were taxis waiting at the bus stop. Cost of taxi was just under 40 euros.
Hi Kat, thanks for sharing that, at least we know a plan now!.
What a shame about the supporters bus, as you've seen its just a small local bar and I don't think they realise how much they could make if it was advertised for tourists to book in advance, I will certainly have a word with them.
Hope it was a good match!
