Parking at Duck

We are staying at KDH and planning to drive to Duck on Saturday and spend a few hours there and have a dinner around sunset. How easy is to find a parking spot in town?

Thanks!

The term In Town sort of indicates you have not been there, it's not a town like Mayberry. It's more of an area where there are a lot of businesses located in a 1/2 mile area along the road. Each shopping area has it's own parking area near by. You can park somewhere and roam the area going from this area to that. If it's a rainy day, and yes it really does rain here, everyone goes shopping and it's crowded. If it's very hot in the afternoon, many go out shopping after a short bake on the beach. But normal days you will have no problems.

As the PP noted, there is plenty of parking in the areas where the shopping and the restaurants are located. Typically the drive from KDH to Duck is not a long trip, but just beware that Sat. is a very high traffic day. If your schedule allows you to make this trip on a different day, you might want to consider that.
