Place to stay near new Knights stadium?

We are planning a trip to Charlotte this summer. Would like to stay within walking distance of the new Knights stadium and the Bank of American stadium. Is there such a hotel? How safe will it be to walk to and from both places at night? Thanks in advance.

Actually there are several, but the ones I'd suggest are the Hilton Garden Inn Uptown or the Hampton Uptown. Not only are they within walking distance of both places,, they offer a free shuttle within about 3 miles of uptown- drop off and pick up. The area is safe, but if you are uncomfortable, the weather is bad, or you would just rather ride, why not make use of the shuttle. They are located next to each other and are across the street from the NASCAR Hall of Fame, too.

There is a Residence Inn (Marriott) directly in between BOA Stadium and the new Knights Stadium. They are all 3 within a stones throw from each other. I would feel comfortable at night anywhere downtown but just use caution.

There are many hotels much closer to the stadium than the Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn. The Hilton Center City, Marriott, Omni, or Dunhill in addition to the very close Residence Inn mentioned above.

The Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton are not as well located for most uptown attractions except for the NASCAR Hall of Fame or maybe the Civic Center. I'm certain that the person constantly recommending these hotels regardless of whether they're an appropriate choice has an ownership interest in them.
