Snow in March?

Will it still be snowy/cold enough in mid-March to go ice-skating or snow-shoeing in the park?

Thanks.

Hello NYclw-

It was snowy/cold last year though April.

The way this year has been going, I would expect the same!

The downhill ski areas will most likely be open through March. It is my favorite month of the year here!

If the snow melts for some reason, there is still plenty to do, and you can always head north to the High Peaks to snow-shoe one day. HTH.

More than likely we will have snow in March. Usually it is still quite cold and with all the snow on the ground now there is a very good chance that it will still be here.

There is a way for you to "cheat" on this - there is a local news station with a camera in Saratoga - go on line and look at the video - if you see white we still have snow!

Or feel free to send a PM or post the question again before you come up.
