Hey does anyone know of a restaurant in Fira that has traditional music and dancing? Would love to experience Zobra the Greek. Lol.
Welcome to the forums.
In Fira, I’m not sure of restaurants that still have plate smashing.
For something slightly different, consider an evening at the White Door Theatre.
The audience is an invited guest to a local girl in the 1940’s. Meze food (a taster plate, not a full meal) and unlimited wine is included. You’ll be encouraged to get up and join in the dances (but won’t be made fun of) and a bit of plate smashing to finish.
Thank you so much! Will definitely hit the ‘White Door’ sounds like fun 😊
On a more casual level, the owner of Santorini Mou in Oia, and one or two of his friends, entertain his customers with live music and singing. Sometimes spontaneous dancing occurs as well. Get an outside table for this.
Are there any shows in March?
March will be fairly (to very) quiet anywhere on the island. Most businesses target the Greek Easter weekend as their start date for the new season and that doesn’t happen until the end of March in 2019.
I see from your other posts that you’re staying in Imerovigli - expect the village to be quiet in March although you’ll find more life in Fira which is only about a mile away (uphill on the way back).
