Please, some help with hotel choosing.

I have been reading trip advisor reviews for hours and am not sure I still want to visit Niagara Falls. It seems as though all of the hotels have nasty comments. I want to spend one night on the American side and one night on the Canadian side. I am not a hotel snob, but do want a clean room with wifi access, nice beds, and TV, I typically stay at Holiday Inn and Suites, Hampton Inn, Drury Inn, Country Inn and suites, Best western. I don't require a falls view, but if I am paying $150+ per night, I do want free parking or breakfast. I am older and prefer to do less walking than the young folks. Please, some suggestions.

For the Canadian side (passport required) you will need to post a question in that forum:

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Niagara Falls downtown and it was fine. Its across the street from the casino and within walking distance to the falls. There is a decent pub right in the hotel and the breakfast was good - I think we got a free drink and breakfast if we were priority club members (so it pays to sign up for that if you are not already a member). Ask for a free upgrade too when you are there - it can't hurt. There is also ample/free parking.

Thank you so much for the info. I will try to book that hotel for our night in the US.

You might also try the Hampton Inn downtown on Rainbow Blvd, walking distance to NF State Park, free parking, free breakfast, decent reviews. Good luck!

We'll be staying at the Comfort Inn (www.comfortinnthepointe.com) - free parking, free breakfast, and looks like a great location. You may want to check that out.

We just stayed at Comfort Inn. Clean rooms, good breakfast. Staff was great. We paid about $143 plus taxes and room charge with AAA discount. Right on the corner and within walking distance to shops, eating and the waters/state park.
