Lake George restaurant reccomendations, please?

Hello,

We will be visiting Lake George next weekend, and would like some restaurant reccomendations...

Where should we dine?

Thanks for your response!

Are these breakfast, lunch and dinner places, or only open for certain meals?

Over a long weekend, we may get to try them all!

All these places have been strictly lunch/dinner. Your only choice for breakfast might be Mcdonald's in the Lake George area during Oct. Tamarak might be open. Located at the intersection of Rt. 9/9N. There's also an old diner car like place that I forgot about (not sure if it will be opened). Serves excellent meals (including breakfast). Located right next to the bowling alley.

my dinner recommendations:

Cate's (Italian) in Bolton Landing - make reservations

Brunetto's (mostly seafood) in Warrensburg (my favorite) - make reservations wayyyy ahead of time.

East Cove in Lake George

George's (steak and seafood - great salad bar) in LG (not sure if it's closed for the season though)

The Algonquin in Bolton Landing - (over priced, but the waterfront location might be worth it - also for lunch)

The Log Jam - near the outlets. great saladbar. great adirondack atmosphere.

If you want to really splurge, there's a 5-star restaurant called Erlowest just north of the village.

for lunch:

The Kooom Garrison in LG

Capri Pizza in LG Village (usually open late nite too)

take a drive up to Bolton Landing (only 8 miles up 9N) - there's a great diner just past town called Hometown Diner - great breakfast and lunch.

Prospect Diner is the one next to the bowling alley in LG.
