Driving from Albany to Cooperstown I-88 or Hwy 20?

I am going to be flying into Albany this weekend and with all the snow in the east, would it be better to drive to Cooperstown via I-88 or Hwy 20? Thanks!

Rte 20 will generally be better. Dryer, and more direct. Just be alert to drifting on the crests and ridges, though often less of a problem than I88.
