Okawango camps, best game viewing in first week of June

We are a family of 4 ( children age 7 and 10 ) and will be in Livingstone in the first week of June. Would like to spend 2 days in Chobe and another 3 or 4 days in the Okawango delta. Would anyone suggest camps / lodges which would accomodate our kids. Key factors would be where the best game viewing is in the first week of june.

There's a post just a little below this one, called, "Family Safari". Probabbly a lot of answers in there.

Or put "kids" in the search box, above.

Key factor is where will accept your children. Game viewing is secondary.

Many places won't accept children because wild animals wander through the camps, so children need to be watched EVERY minute, (and some parents don't like to do this).

In the Okavango either Oddballs, Oddballs Enclave or Delta Camp will accept children of all ages.

The best game viewing will be in Chobe, most Lodges accept children, although some advise booking your own safari vehicle and Guide.

The Okavango is incredibly beautiful, and well worth visiting, but is not a major game viewing area.

Another good Delta amp area to consider with kids is Footsteps Camp. It is a Ker and Downey Camp and encourages kids. Unlike the camp mentioned previously which we like and recommend too, Footsteps has more dry areas and game viewing should be stronger. All good choices and could combine both on the same trip. Linyanti Camp would be good too. Which you choose will depend on budget. Good luck.

I was also going to mention Footsteps in the Delta.. it's the K&D camp.. they have specific programs for kids. The ride in is rough but it would be a great camp for kids.. game viewing wasn't as good in 2012 as in 2009 but we were there in late Oct/ November so June may be different. They also have a big family tent which is nicely set up.
